This easy smoothie is my hubby's concoction with a few tweaks. I like to add some spices, but he doesn't :) I've tried variations with additions like okra #mmhm, a Jamaican Stout, raw peanuts instead of peanut butter, cornflakes (Yep!) and honey. You may use a blender or some other food processing unit. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
1 - 2 cups cold almond milk
3/4 cup oatmeal mix (oat bran, oats flakes, wheat bran, flax seeds)
3 Tbsp peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
2 ripe bananas*, chopped
4-6 ice cubes, crushed
METHOD:
Blend all ingredients till you have achieved desired smoothness. If too thick, keep adding almond milk.
YIELD:
two servings
*Sometimes I use frozen banana slices and omit the ice cubes
