INGREDIENTS
2 pounds chicken wings
Vegetable oil
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsps onion powder
1 tsp garlic owder
Sauce
1-2 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp minced fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tbsp sriracha (optional)
1.5 tsp molasses
Chili powder as to taste
1/4 cup honey
2 - 3 tbsps teaspoons honey mustard
2 tsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
salt to taste
METHOD
1. Drizzle the 2 tbsps vegetable oil all over the chicken wings and add soy sauce, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Marinate overnight if possible.
2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees .
3. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet put the wings on top of the rack and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 25 minutes.
4. While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a pan saute the ginger and garlic until soft but not brown. Then whisk in the other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and allow to simmer for 5 – 6 minutes, until the sauce begins to thicken. Set aside.
5. After 25 minutes turn over each wing and bake them for another 20 minutes basting or brushing the sauce on every 6 minutes until the wings cooked through.
6. Baste both sides of the wings with more sauce, and continue baking another 10 minutes. Turn on broiler for extra stickiness.
